Scarlet Letter Essay!! please help me!!

Hey you guys, i have an emergency. I put off this essay till the last second, and now i have to start writing and cant..

The topic is How are the three main characters (Hester, Dimmesdale, Chillingsworth) profesions in the scarlet letter ironic?

Im really confused, and theres no way i can write 1200 words on this by tommrow, any help would be greatly appreciated,

ok ive come up with this so far

Hesters profession is ironic becasuse
-she is a seamstress and makes things beautful, which is ironic cause she is an adultress and lives in shame/outcast
-Being a seamstress is a job with basically no real purpose just like she has no real purpose in the community

Hester is a seamstress who helped the poor. She parallels Dorcas (Tabitha) who did the same in the New Testament in Book of Acts Chapter 9.

Dimmesdale is a preacher who is supposed to be a spiritual healer. But, of course, he fails miserably.

Chillingsworth masquerades as a doctor who is supposed to be a healer but the revenge he imposes kills.

Very ironic characterizations, indeed!
