Why do I write the way I do?
What motives do I have to do so ?

To be famous, or to leave a legacy?

Poems are birthed when something quivers within me
Something seeks to be birthed like the womb's baby on a due date.
I have mediums of putting things across
Why poems?

Something is layered within me
For you censor it with your taboos
Your choice shroud my feelings
Maybe codes of communication delimit me
I am a man and to communicate the way I want is my right
The thing I want to speak honestly and unabatedly

Something you can not take and stomach
For your ideals and beliefs and values wall me

I want to break the wall
For the wall is what prevents me from organically to be at one with you

Desires, any desire take forms
into poems and that keep me hard by you

blazeofglory, this is an interesting poem. Your thoughts just flowed, and I was just led by them, and then...

I like reading and thinking about these two lines:

I have mediums of putting things across

Your poem left me pondering and only your question "Why poems?" kept questioning in my head ?
The following stanza is so true Blaze. Without some force, we cannot write so good and without some force, it would be dry. Isn't that so Blaze ?

Definitely, we do have many other mediums but why poetry ? In my opinion, poetry is a good medium because unlike other medium, poetry can portray one's emotions and imaginations through few words or sentences making them a compact form in which poets leave further imagination on reader's mind. It's no doubt that poetry is sometimes hard to interpret because of vagueness in the poetry which raises complexity on reader's mind.

The following stanza is my favorite one in this poem Blaze. But I guess replacing the word "shroud" with "screen" or "obscure" in the following stanza would sound better. This is only my opinion Blaze. Otherwise, I loved this stanza the most.

I liked the piece and the comments. The only thing I'd change is that the plural for medium is usually media.
