i dont know about you guys, but i really dont listen to old songs too much, but today, im all about singing that good oldie "my boyfriend's back"
cause today is the day. after spending the last month and a bit all alone in a new city, my boyfriend is back. his plane lands at ten tonight, so im a bit of a basket case....like i have only one big nerve that runs from head to toe. :eek2: i have been running around the apartment since yesterday, doing stupid things, like cleaning things that are already clean (i just moved in last week, how dirty can it be?) and shaving my legs (twice) even though i just waxed three days ago. (i know, totally retarted).
and he's not seen my newly pierced tongue yet either....oh boy!
anyhow, since i dont really know anyone here in this city, and dont even have a phone hooked up yet (remember identity theft issue?) i just needed to share my anxiety with someone....thanks for listening!

Never? Not even once? Not even if you actually are jumping up and down in sheer exuberance and you have no other way to express your emotion?
I can't believe that.
Come on. Just one little banana. Forget your dignity for just this once.

Speaking of which, have you seen the dancing banana that comes with music?
www.ebaumsworld.com/peanutbutter.shtml
It will make the dancing banana much more endearing to you. Either that, or you will want to smash every banana you see with a sledgehammer. Either way, you will no longer be able to see the dancing banana without hearing this music in your head.

hehehe...
Always happy to spread happiness (or insanity). You know, the more I look at that banana the more I think there should be little pom-poms in his hands.
So this is way off the original topic (I'm sure you don't mind vbm--but tell us how you're doing, by the way), but the first time I saw that crazy dancing banana was on the TV show Ed. Did anyone else watch that show? It ended this past year, but I think it was hilarious in the first two seasons and then lost its edge afterwards. Makes me kind of sad when you no longer like to watch your favorite show :(. This is part of what I loved about that show: ten dollar bets; a bowling alley lawyer ("I am a lawyer, I own a bowling alley; two separate things); and Phil ("shave my poodle!"). Sorry to ramble so much, my mind has gone slightly off-kilter from lack of something constructive to do. But I did just win my first item from e-bay! (Here it comes...wait for it...
  !!!!!!!!
A new DVD of the movie 13 Conversations About One Thing, I'm excited about it, in case you couldn't tell. I was going to do this post banana-free, but in this case I just couldn't help myself.

What was Admin thinking when i decided to include that dancing banana thing..I'm sure a dancing APEL would be much nicer and at least someone would still has his/her dignity even when he/she used it thousands of time..:)
sorry to mess up your thread VBM but i need to say it..:)

i understand perfectly, sub...i should have known better than to post something exciting and expect the banana debate to stay buried!
anyhow, things are going very well indeed. we are doing all those things that couples should do, but for the first time. you know, like grocery shopping and laundry and cooking, and watching tv. its actually pretty refreshing to know that we are "normal" now.
i have to go look for a job today, which is kind of icky, but otherwise things are fine.
of course, i didnt mention the fact that the *insert many offensive words here* army is sending him out again on friday for another month!! so we got eight days together this time.
oh well, maybe time for a new piercing.....

so how is it actually? more details girl... :)))
mustbe wonderful, actually where does he go? you never mention a place, or is it a secret?
verybaddmom

well i never mention a place, not becuase its secret, but because we usually dont know where till he's on the plane. we found out that this friday its Wainright alberta, which is actually about five hours north of where we live, but he doesnt get weekends off or anything. this is actually an exercise, where everyone practices doing their job in a simulated war situation...right down to the camouflaged paint on their faces. the last course he was on was for a promotion, and it was in Borden Ontario. he just got back from a peacekeeping mission to Bosnia last October and is scheduled for another in Afghanistan for February.
um...details? what kind of details? i think some of those best left to the imagination. rest assured that all is very very well, and i am grinning from ear to ear non-stop right now. although, so is he. did i mention i got my tongue pierced? lol
