Winston has no choice but to sit with him , but when Winston sits down Orwell wrights that he greeted his friend with a friendly smile. Plus he did it in the cafeteria full of telescreens. How can this be if the show no emotions in 1984?

Total lack of emotions; although I wouldn't call it like that( smile is not an emotion), could be described like a lack of respect to the Party.
