This is waaaay off-topic, and I apologize, but I noticed that there are a handful of older people on this board so I thought I'd throw it out there anyway.

My husband and I have owned a timeshare near Disney World for a few years, it works out during the days the kids are out of school and we take yearly vacations down there. Lately though it's been less and less convenient and I've been reading about more and more scams, which make me want to just bail on the whole thing. We contacted the company hoping to cancel but apparently our contract will not allow it.

I'm guessing the next step is to contact the BBB or some such organization, but I thoguht maybe others would have the benefit of similar experience. Thanks.

Woah, that is off-topic. I'm older too although I have never owned a timeshare, I'm sorry. I know there are a handful of resources online that may or may not yield useful info. I worked for a real estate mag for a short period so I still have a few bookmarked...

This article talks about reselling, which you will probably want to consider.

course there's always google, too.

"Off topic"?? "General Chat" means pretty much any topic goes, within the rules of course ;)
