I love logging in everyday and posts in General Chat and Games sections. I find LitNet the best forum on the net. All of the members are simply interesting and fun to talk with. I thank all the founders of this site. This is really incredible!

I love the LitNet because
a) I can be obscurely bookish and people won't look at me oddly and
b) When we're debating something, people will state their opinions without sugarcoating and I can do the same without worrying that I'll be offending anyone.
c) I don't have to worry about age differences.

Well, I love Lit Net. I've met people here with similar interests where we can discuss some of our favorite writers. Where else could I have met Janine to discuss DH Lawrence, Petrarch to discuss Shakespeare, FireFangle to discuss Wallace Stevens, and others probably too countless to mention. Plus meeting and unerstanding people from around the world (Miss Tenderness for Saudia Arabia and SleepyWitch from Germany) has made me realize our similarities and diferrences. It has also inspired me to write creatively, something I hadn't done in many years. Plus the games are fun too. This is a better past time than watching television.

I absolutely love Lit Net! I fell quite 'in love' with this site the first day I arrived, this being totally by accident, while researching D.H. Lawrence. It was as though this tiny window invited me to unlatch it and when I did it opened into this huge 'colorful' world filled with great people and amazing stories and amazing human-beings, a real and true place of wonder and interest for me at last! Who says 'cyberspace' is not realistic? I say 'more so!' Where else can we reveal our deepest thoughts on everything - life, death, imortality, relationships, complexities, dreams/visions, our own unique imaginations, etc. I have been in search all my life, I believe, for a place like this where others are like I am - cerebral, I suppose, and I could feel comfortable discussing the deeper questions of life and also just communing with so many individuals from such interesting and varied cultures.

As Virgil, said where else could I have meet such incredible people, plus such wonderfully 'nice' poeple to discuss my favorite things with: books, films, poetry, music, authors, etc. I thought - I have returned to college again and those were the happiest/most stimulating years of my life, when I was exchanging ideas and learning so much from others. I name just a few of my best friends:
Downing, Pensive, Virgil, Grace, Manolia, Amalia, Lady Wentworth, Malwethian; oh and there are more, so if I did not name you, so sorry, but you know who you are and so do I. Where else could I have meet such great people with like interests and passions? Thank you all for making me so very happy!

I wish to thank mostly the people who started this site. We would not be writing this if it were not for your great efforts and smart thinking in getting this site together. You have saved my sanity! It is so true that this site is the BEST on the net! It is well designed and moderated, that one always feels 'safe' here; yet allowing for enough freedom for personal expression; we also have a great time in posts, even the more serious ones, plus threads have such versitility and variety.
Thanks also, to all the moderators - they do a fabulous job. You offer so much fresh material, as well, keeping everything so updated. Commendable is all the online texts that are available on this site. You all are so ambitious and I am sure take much time doing this - the unsung heros behind the scenes!

I consider most of the people I have meet on this site my closest of friends, and to me friendships are the most rewarding in our lives. It is such a great experience to meet with others who share in ones thoughts and interests. Therefore, I would also like to thank all the truly 'nice' people who make this site so worthwhile. I, too, have a greater understanding of the world now and bridging out worlds and celebrating the great diversity of our cultures but above all this I feel we all share one huge thing in common - we are all the same - human-beings.

If anyone's been to other forums, then they'll really know how great LitNet is. Other forums, about anything; I'm sure there are some good ones, but most of them are filled with hate, prejudice, and fear. They really are! So thank you LitNet! I can only assume it's because of the structure, the mod's, and then the people who post here...

well , at first my concerns were with Literature , since the site
is mostly concerned with Literature , but then I loved the variety
of people and intersts .
the hearts, the many friends I have in here are what
makes this site special :thumbs_up
Virg, same here:thumbs_up :)

I'm a member of a different (smaller) forum and I must admit that LitNet is a bit too big for me. I agree, the people are very nice from what I've seen/read, but I've never really talked to anyone, cause there are so many and I'm one of those who say "I'm not that fun, and I don't want to bother you" when it comes to these places.

But yes. LitNet is a nice forum for discussion, book-reviews and meeting new people. :)

manolia, you know I consider you one of my best friends. I have been so 'blessed' on this site with forming such great and varied friendships - very valuable to me, truly. And, m, you are very 'sweet', as well. Besides you are great fun to discuss L and DL films with!

I mimic your last paragraph entirely. It is the first thing I check right after my breakfast/brunch more like it...haha...I am a 'nite owl'; therefore not a 'morning person'!;)

What? Amalia, I'm not included in your list of LitNet buddies? :bawling:
Fine! At least Janine likes me! :p ;)

I happened upon this site a couple of years ago. I was looking up something on Dickens, I believe. I was going to join, but I just never did (kind of because I worked all the time and I was hardly ever online, anyway). I joined some other communities (non-literature related). That was kind of a bust! Most people just seem so rude and unpleasant to "talk" to on those forums. Then I suddenly remembered you guys. Boy am I glad that I did!!! I had been here such a short while and I noticed how welcoming and friendly everyone was. It was such a nice change! Also, a very wise decision on my part to join! :) I enjoy reading what everyone has written, and I also enjoy joining in on any discussions. THANK YOU FOR CREATING THIS SITE!!!! :D :D :D

I would think that it is the topic, and the intelligent people with a similar interest that I like the most. It doesn't hurt that Admin and the mods are very professional and in general good except when they hound me j/k

LitNet is the nicest Discussion Forum I ever know. Though, I'm also a member of so many other Forums but LitNet is the best I can say.

Why? It comprises lots of good and friendly fellows that know how to write very well, advise carefully, help selflessly and do many other good stuff. They also keep always encouraging me, I can also say, notwithstanding the fact my English isn't good enough to interact with them but they bear it.

Thanks to all

Wow miss Bailey, this is a great thread, a wonderful opportunity to thank the founder and the administrators. I think you have all expressed so well how I feel also. It is a privilege to be here amongst you and I especially thank a certain Prince for inviting me. All of the ages and cultures and talent is a wonderment. Thanks for letting me squeeze in.

I love litnet because i no longer feel like a loner bookish nerd. :p
There are so many lovely people here, from the wonderful mods, to the funny trouble makers (at least the ones who try but dont succeed!:p )

Thanks to all those people who post here in this forum and make it interesting. It has been about two and a half years since I joined the forum and the people here have made me not to take leave for a very long time. :p
I even found myself dreaming about it once! :p

There are many people whom I really miss, such as Jay. I wonder where she is. Where sub, Night and emily are? Sometimes while coming across old posts and reading them just reminds me of these forum members which were once very active but are not seen these days. And yes, Kathy, haven't seen her lately too.

So this is the only forum I visit on nearly daily basis, very much. There was a time when I used to read less, and visited it more often though these days studies schedule plus some books have me under their charm so I don't get to visit lit-net as much as I did before, though still I believe it's quite a lot and I like doing that. :)

Thanks to all those who consider me a friend too. It's great having friends, really. :) And thanks to the administration for providing us with such a forum where we can chat from the latest book we have read to the current weather in our places. :p

I'm very new to this, (this is my 4th contribution!)...I must say it seems a very friendly place. I found it by reading 'The Longest Journey' by Forster on the site!

 I think that statement was ruined by the spelling

I love the litnet 'cause I can rant about alien theories, poetry and books whitout people assuming I'm insane.

I also love it because of all the great people I know and the fun debates.

For example, when i was on a plane I thought of a bunch of litnet jokes and they kept me from a full blown panic attack! (I also kept trying to make jokes with the words "Nookie" and "smutty" on them so thank you also Lote-sama!)

i love the LitNet because everyone makes sense.. :)

Yes, Bakiryu makes perfect sense. :D of course, right.

You are one of my favorite litnetters too.
To me, litnet is simply the best place to go on the web. I love it because I get to interact with other people all over the world discussing decent things, and also because it isn't banned by our school... ;) I go to litnet whenever I feel the need to refresh my spirit. In short, I go to litnet everyday (except for Sundays--the day I allot for my homework).
