Lazy afternoon

The silent wind comes pass,
As some drowsy leaves dance,
I looked upon the sky,
And saw some birds by chance

There's a colossal cloud
Floating there up so high,
The whole heaven glimmers,
And hit my amazed eye.

In lazy afternoon,
Out there on the window,
Fancy things liven up
The view with their show.

And the blue won't fade,
In my heart and in the sky,
Until this one lazy afternoon
Had come to pass by.

Hey Andrew, that's pretty good. It's a little rough in spots but you maintain a nice tone and some pretty imagery.

As Virgil says, overall a good poem. I wouldn't title the thread "Sentiments in Colors" unless you plan on writing more poems, because you only mention one color, blue. Now, you want to go back and color those delightful "drowsy leaves", or the birds, or clouds, or "fancy things", or simply tell me what color a "lazy afternoon" might be, and we have a color poem!

Ofcourse I'll post more, since I can only use one thread in accordance to the rules. That's why I named it sentiments in colors. You're right, that one was blue..

Actually, what I was really hoping is that everyone would post their sentimets in colors in this thread.

So everybody..post now! and paint your sentiments in colors thorugh the magic of poetry..

Cardinal Colors

Bright flash of red in tree outside,
Cardinal singing “wet, wet, wet.”
Such a shade of crimson against purple clouds,
Tiny weatherman is usually prophetic…

Bright flash of red down near the river side,
Cardinal Flower blooming in the shade.
Shining scarlet in the afternoon sun,
My photographer’s eye will find its every hiding spot.

Bright flash of red across the church courtyard,
Cardinal arriving for a special Mass.
Ruby robe shines as he raises his arms for benediction,
Sharing his color with the flower and the bird…
