All of seek God in images, in physical manifestations.
We seek God in concrete forms.
Or in abstractions, in imaginations,
In temples, in mosques, or in Churches.
In prayers, in the Bible, in the Gita, and in the Koran.

My friends, God is not there.
God is here in togetherness, in congregations
In unity, in harmonious relationship.

We seek in a domain of unknowns, in heaven
Heaven is not a place in form
It is a sheer metaphor, and nothing else.

We are mistaken and misled over millenniums
Return but to yourselves and seek God
Not within you or without you but amidst you

Amidst the hungry, the downtrodden, and the anguished.
In fields of crops and factories of industries and in settlements of people
In forests of animals.

God is what you see around you

Your own environs, everything that is there in harmony with you.
Reverse your view and you will see everything in nature is made for you

Even your enemies are made for you
You may jeer at me hearing this
But friend, friends and foes are reflections of your own temperaments
And of course verities or realties
and of course integrally your own

Do not be dissuaded, my dear,
Be in the here and now
Seek God and find Him everywhere

Blaze, this is really a good poem which speaks a words of wisdom for all of us. Yes, I agree with you that God is everywhere. This reminded me the Nepali song "yatri" by Laxmi Prasad Devkota and other English song One Of Us" by Joan Osbourne. I hope you have already heard the latter one too. Keep on writing and keep up your good work. :thumbs_up

I love it! it talks deeply to me, i like your point of view, and love the way you express it. i totally agree with you, we ruin the image of God by shaping him in much images and places. Why don't we just believe in the beauty of him being everywhere and everything?
love your ideas!
write on!

Unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins. Jesus said this.
Accountability for our actions will not be erased by vain philosophy. God knows the reasonings of the wise, that they are useless.

Without shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. Good works do not atone.
