View Full Version : The Raindrop

A single raindrop waits
Glittering on the edge.
It sparkles with borrowed colours
But owns none.
The sunlight softens,
The sphere elongates, stretches heavily
And then falls, facets vanished.
In one swift crystal leap
It hits the rose and splits
Into a dozen more dazzling drips.
The flower, face uplifted
Catches all the diamonds.
