Limerwrecks.....
a dog was named Harry sweats Barely
whose hiney was ever so hairy
twas so hot in the summer
now that was a bummer
so he shaved it, now Harry sweats rarely
There once was a kitty named catty
her job was to catch Mr. Ratty
with fang and with claw
she pursued him with awe
but he waxed her cause she was a fatty
Old knob was a proud alligator
whose temper was much like a satyr
he’d slam shut his jaws
to Greta’s applause
and he instantly knew he could dater
Old Blue was a great ancient Elephant
whose temper had made him get ill and rant
his joints were all stiff
and his trunk couldn’t sniff
and his tusks had become quite irrelephant
Betsy Trotwood was quite the slick chicken
she only pecked at the best pickens’
she laid apple pies
to the farmer’s surprise
and he said “now don’t that beat the Dickens”!
