We treasure dreams-
of democracy,
equal rights for women,
shelter,food and clothing
for everyone;
dreams to become a country
like Eden
Jade Garden or Paradise,
an economic power,
a torch bearer of Peace and Love
a castle of our creed,
or whatever nice
our dreams could fetch.
Our ancestry dreamt of a separate homeland
for us
The Father of the Nation created it
at the priceless cost of martyred blood;
our slumbering dream, our vision
was finally fulfilled,
the wishes we had in our hearts
saw the light of day;
but the day of wishes
the night of dreams
has only led us to
day dreaming and
star-gazing
we wished and got
freed from bonds of colonialists
and oppression by the inimical majority
we wished and kept on wishing
until we became a nuclear power,
a power from scratch
to a developing giant;
We fought Pilgona's proxy war
and threw out the enemies
from Tiktiktan;
now we are again fighting
a proxy war for Carb-uncle Bam
and it's allies
playing to their tune as
remarkable sycophants and slaves,
sparing no stone unturned
to throw out the literal takers
of the name of Zeus;
we wished for the doctrine
of necessity and paved way
for the guardians of our frontiers
to seize and take over the land
of our Blessed Heart
and they brutally slashed it down!
we wished for civil governments
but only got corrupt leaders in return;
we wished for love and peace
but got death and dirge;
our futile wishes only led us
to the brink of a failed state
so much so that we now dread
to sin, to wish any more!
High time for us to pray has come
and all now seem to pray
to the Almighty for deliverance
from our sinful wishes
to save our country
and bless it
with all Its Blessings
good leaders,
pure justice, rule of law
equality for everyone
no discriminations
no more corruption
no foul amnesty
to chosen ones,
to the vested interest,
for the vested interest;
a high spirit of patriotism
and nationhood
a life of honour, grace and dignity
an embodiment of a welfare state;
no terrorism or suicide bombings
no more blood shed of the innocent
no more devastations at human hands
no dirty politics
no pseudo-intellectualism
but an existence of self-sufficiency,
sovereignty,high standards
of morals and values
no lechery,debauchery, no serfdom
no kleptocracy, no distatorship,
no scourge of unemployment
but a seat for education, knowledge and learning
a promised social security,
goodwill and goodness,
strong economy,
prosperity and progress
and more!
our wishes have only brought us
to the verge of catastrophe,
chaos and turmoil.
let us now wish no more
It's time to pray
for a New Order
a time to endeavor for a better,
freer,organized,happy,
prosperous and stronger,
Wonderland!
