In my current pursuit of learning and trying every style of poetry I stumbled across "Clerihews" tonight and thought I'd give the style a try.
Here's some humorous Halloween Clerihews about some famous scary characters.

The Wicked Witch of the West
Is feeling very depressed
The hag soon disappears
As she melts away in her tears

Alcoholic Frankenstein's
Drunk again on Vino wine
Yet his walk is not the clue
He staggers when he's sober too!

Imprudent Count Dracula
Riding in an Acura
Got injured in a car wreck
After biting the drivers neck

Casper the Friendly Ghost
Vacationed on the coast
He tried and failed to tan
For only the living can

Michael Myers
Has bad desires
And causes fright
On Halloween night

Crazy Freddy Krueger
Has claws like a cougar
You better stay awake
For your life is at stake

The Creature from the Black Lagoon
Once sauntered into a saloon
And scared away all the outlaws
With his scaly skin and claws

The ancient Mummy
Was a dummy
For taking cigarette drags
And setting afire his rags

Mean Hannibal Lechter
The keen cuisine collector
He'll welcome you into his shanty
You'll taste good with some Chianti

Psychotic Mr. Hyde
Is Jekylls' evil side
The doctor drank his brew
And one man became two

King Kong combated Godzilla
The match went to the gorilla
The lizard ain't quite the menace
When it comes to playing tennis

I guess you've discovered a true "niche" market here!
Very clever.

Thank you AuntShecky and Ampoule for your comments.

I have now rewritten a few of the clerihews and added two new ones.

Double X eh? I feel this form is all too ignored, and you have some good ones there! Mind if I add a few?

Down the lane I meet a Zombie--
Twice as bad, because she's a mommie!
White eyes and rancid breath--
Ever hungry since their untimely death!

Fast and faster rises The Headless Horseman!
Hessian, mind ye, not a Norseman!
Coal black horse rearing high into the night--
He'll have your head, perhaps, tonight!

The King of Halloween, Jack Skellington,
Music played this year, shades of Duke Ellington.
Not after Christmas is Jack this year,
Resurrecting the Boogey-Man for the Scares!

The cornfield is haunted by Jeepers Creepers,
Looking out upon the world with dead white peepers.
This living gargoyle needs fresh blood and fine.
For years have passed now, about thirty-nine...

Of course you could go to Dunwitch, Arkham, or Innsmouth,
The Children of Dagon could use new blood.
I know the rituals are a disturbing notion--
But Cthulhu sleeps in R'lyeh beneath the ocean...

Wow, they are really cool. I like them. I think if you took the best four or five and put them together it would make an ideal single poem. I also think holloween and the horror characters you bring up make a wonderful subject for this form. I'm going to have to try it myself someday. :thumbs_up

Pen that is funny and well done too.
