what shall I call thee?
mazHur
You came like a monsoon wind
inundating every field and flake
breathing life into barren earth
charming life with deathly rake
Shall I call you a morning breeze
That gently blows and strews your hair
On your glowing moon-like cheeks so fair
Like the moon behind the clouded air
What if I compare you to an impala
With a flouncing gait in an emerald field
A fancier heart for forcing fleet
At the slightest hum revealed
Should I call you a beauteous Rani
That rules the heart of her loving Raja
That lives in the royal palace of love
The love that Radha's heart had for Rama
May I compare you to a cuckoo sweet
whose cooing splits the lover's heart
Like clouds split by lightening's wave
Gashing the earth with its piercing dart
I don't have words to praise thee more
For the paradigm of beauty I so adore
