After years of seclusion
First kiss comes to you
Tears flowing down through your cheek
And your heart is full of love
This happiness is nothing
But metamorphosis of pain.

Intriguing little poem, aashishameya. I am not sure I understand about the metamorphosis of pain into happiness, but I sense in this poem something about a sudden flow of emotions that the person refered to as 'you' has finally decided to face after years of withdrawal from them. It is interesting how so many emotions are represented through those few lines.

I understand this poem deeply. And I like it so much I got emotionally charged after reading this poem.

There is something you want to say. I beleive that pain and pleasure at the bottom are one and the same, inseparably of course. For they spring up from the same well.

This is a profound message. I think this is exactly what the Buddha wanted to teach us.

I am fully convinced of the fact that ultimately pleasure begets pain and we cannot think about any pleasures that does not contain pain.

I feel and realize this truth that ultimately happiness too is the other phase or form of pain, the metamorphosis of each other.

This type of feeling crops up after a prolonged meditation.
This is the root of mystical science, and all who were in quest of spirituality came upon this truth.

The truth that at the base pain and pleasure are one and the same

The entire philosophy of Vedanta is rooted in this great idea.

I do know that was what I understood.

For the beauty and of course mystery of the poem is you will see your own meaning of life, entirely dfferent from what others could possibly find.

After war,
When flowers bloom again;
Children giggle once more
And wives sleep with their husbands
This happiness is nothing
But metamorphosis of pain.

This piece is highly moving. This is something that penetrates a deeper philosophical question indeed. In fact at the base all I feel is pain ans pleasures originate from the same source and indeed that source is emotion.
