The Smile on your Face

i wrote this poem when i had nothing to do
and i was pretty bored
and im not sure if this makes sense

the smile on your face
is all i need to make me pleased
it’s all i need to know that I have done my job

the very laugh of yours
is all i need to make me smile
it’s all i need to know that i have made you proud

its hard to make you smile
its even harder to make you laugh
so when i have, my heart skips a beat, maybe even two

don’t know what or why it is
maybe it’s only foolishness
but maybe it might be more

Reality unfolds
Life is like a sip of coffee
A moment's joy
and it vaporizes in a while

We are not others and others are not us
togetherness is a dream
love is an imagination

Company is only for the night's stay
The next day we have to make our own way

Seeking someone to last with you is a dream
That is impassible anm unreachable realm

Trying to please some one is a far cry
Be yourself and do not give that a try

A special person's smile can flood light onto the darkest recesses of the mind.
however if it leaves you a shadow of yourself,maybe it's worth should be re-evaluated.(as Blazeofglory's last two lines suggest)
