Hello. How are you?
I have a homework which consists in selecting poems from my book that talk about loss love, but I'm having a hard time trying to identify which poems are about that subject, could you please give me a hand.
I'm not sure, but I think that, Shall I compare thee to a summer's day by howard moss is about loss love, what do you think? in case you haven't heard about this poem, here it part of it:
Who says you're like one of the dog days?
You're nicer. And better.
Even in May, the weather can be gray,
And a summer sub-let doesn't last forever.
Sometimes the sun's too hot;
Sometimes it is not.
Who can stay young forever?
.....
These are the other poems from my book, please tell me which one of these is about loss love.
The passionate shepherd to his love, by christopher marlowe.
The nymph's reply to the sheperd by sir walter raleigh
the bait by john donne
song by c.day lewis
raleigh was right by william carlos william
love under the republicans (or democrats) by ogden nash
the sick rose by william blake
a supermarket in california by allen ginsberg
woman by nikki giovanny
mother to son by langston hugues
my father's martial art by stephen shu ning liu
desert flowers by janice mikikitaniu
borders by pat mora
a work of artifice by marge piercy
the youngest daughter by cathy song.
I really have tried so hard trying to indentify which of those poems is about loss love.
thank you.
