Worthless

It’s a sad and painful truth.
The moment you can sit there and cry,
Not for the mistakes of others
But only for your own.

Feeling worthless
emptiness, heartbroken;
Just plain worthless
Lying on my bed and reflecting,
About the mistakes I've made.
My endless regrets;
Blaming myself.

No matter who is there,
How I feel around others,
That worthless feeling will stay inside me.
Coming out when I’m alone,
At night in the dark, where no one can see
I fall apart, into pieces.

Unable to control my thoughts,
Racing through my head
God I am worthless.
I pity myself, but cant fix my mistakes;
Only think of how to,
And then go back to being worthless.
Because that is me
Nothing more,
Just worthless.

I loved the way you expressed your pain Manny. :thumbs_up You know that human are prone to making mistakes and we all make mistakes sometime and we all feel like you've felt sometimes. Yes, regretting sometimes helps one not to repeat the same mistakes again but regretting too much won't help one either. Isn't that so ? So, be strong and never think yourself a worthless.

It is a great poem, just don't turn it into a mantra. Feeling worthless is something that we all go through. There is a mountain of difference from feeling worthless and actually being worthless. You are not worthless, mon ami.

Since this poem is not worthless, i assume u must not be, either. Though i have to agree on what u said about strongest words coming out when you really feel it, i have to say, like the others, that you're definitely not entitled to feel anything like this. Anyone who can write good poems, or anything at all, cant be worthless (just my opinion though ;) ).
