Take me.
I offer thee my heart...
cupped here within these praying hands,
my life's blood pulsing,
cloaked in the warmth of my spirit,
and protected by our renewed souls,
living only for you.

Take me.
I offer thee my soul.
For there is recognition between us
of what we have been before,
and what we will be again.
Thy hands gently upon my shoulders,
we travel this earthly plane in unison
known to each other as only
old lovers can be.

Take me.
I offer thee all that I am.
There shall be no secrets
to divide us....
and I shall guard the stars
in their tiny silver boxes....
keeping them safe until
the night walks again.

My life is forfeit.
For thy gifts fulfill
all that I am,
all that I need,
all that I shall ever be.

but your daytime self set free
to be your more true self?

Not the one engaged
in all those application forms,
those adultly written grant proposals,
the shiffle-shuffle of daily necessities,

but the self you put to bed at night
on sheets prepared for dreams.
