Maybe you could be a little more specific, post some questions, about what you are 'puzzled' about?
The road is our life. We all have to make decisions in life that will lead us in one direction, and we can't go back and change our minds once we choose one path. Frost is saying that he took a road that many people don't choose, and that had made him what he is.

the above is coco's assesment.i disagree with coco.the point is that things are not that much simple as coco has talked about.the idea of road is very old, and it would be so simplistic to repeat a hackneyed idea not only for Frost himself but for the reader too.when FROST talks about the two roads he does not mean physical roads, he actually means the roads in the mind. the road not taken is thus ''the other'' of one's whole being.it is also a common phenomena that one relishes the idea of what 'one is not'.

Interesting fact: In this poem Robert quoted that it was actually about his friend that went off into WW1 and how he was just the type of guy that no mater weather he had chosen to go or not\, he would regret it,... too harsh if you ask me XP
