i think some people refer to them as bookmarks.
what are your favorite bookmarked categories/webpages then?

sleep, sleep!

I don't have very many of them, is it common to have lists of them like you do?

LOL  Sorry, I just got such a kick out of this thread.

Recently I tried to put my bookmark list in some semblence of order, and now I can't find anything in it. :D But for me "order" just means similar things kind of next to each other, in order from most- to least-used. And a lot of things that I bookmarked because I thought I'd look at them later, and never did. (In other words, clutter.) Uh.. I don't know if this is the point of this thread or not, but I'll just list the list, I guess...

Good Quotations by Famous People
Ctrl+Alt+Del - Tragically 1337

Okay, after her list mine is very similar in length
I have:
Tdotcomics (my boyfriends web site)
9thelsewhere (yes, this is another comic)
9thelsewhere forum (that I post in less than I post here)
Dominic Deegan
Exterminatus Now
Halifax Chronicle Herald
Hitlabs.net (a forum)
Neko the Kitty
Hotmail.com
And, the Yarmouth Vanguard. (my old home town)
Sinfest.net
Megatokyo

I know, very short, but generally I just type the beginning of the url and it shows up, so I never bother to bookmark. And, yes, most of those are web comics. Not exactly first rate reading, but I like them anyways.

it's like when you bookmark a web page. or when you click on the favorites icon at the top of your browser window, and add some url to it, so you can come back later and find it easily.
did you do that with this forum, mayhap?

em, i was just curious. no point, do i ever make a point? :D
in my media class last semester, we shared some of our favorite web pages, and some were really interesting - i bookmarked them for further consideration, and it gave insight into my classmates...anything for human contact, as we were online the entire time.
like this, eh?

ooh, check it out, vbm and i have the same # of posts today. :)

Oh yeah... I was in doubt whether you meant the bookmarks, or folders in your pc, or just an imaginary thing... But I was too sleepy to put it into words, I was sort of sleepwriting :D

My bookmark thingy is a real mess, I tend to bookmark everything and not put it into folders... the main folders I have are Languages and Literature, where the link of this site resides... then I have Lyrics and stuff like that... But most things are just there wandering, running through the whole list is a pain: "i know i have that link somewhere but where??????"

oh my goodnes...this could take quite a bit of time....so i'll condense it a bit.
i have, of course, this page as my home page...
and then i have folders labelled:
dictionaries and glossaries (great stuff from political science to, of course, literature)
financial links (banking, taxes etc)
home stuff (full of recipes, and bus route info, crosswords and such)
personal (friends websites etc)
school links (colleges and funding stuff)
sims stuff (places to download sims items)
and then i have a bunch of stuff not in folders like:
canadian forces family website
online virus scans
search engines
and so on.....

No problemo. In fact, I'll give the URL's to 'em all (the ones I didn't list as .com's), in case anyone else is interested -- going along with what Az was talking about.

You're very welcome.

Noticed a couple of the links were wrong, when I tested just now. But I also have a very helpful new one! http://www.gifworks.com/ -- it's a free online editor for GIF files! Not of the highest quality, but better than nothing. Good for modifying avatars, making an 80x80 into 50x50 for instance. Too bad almost all of mine are JPEG.
