Hey everyone, i need some creative artist or drawers to help me out here.
Im currently writing a book but i needed someone to draw me the pictures of some of my characters to help me out. Usally my friend does it but he is out.
What i am asking is if a very creative person could draw me some of these characters. I would give you some details on the aspects of the character etc..etc.. Then after those is when the creativity comes in place. I need someone who can go by the characteristics i give and make a character out of them. Just use what i give and after that add anything you would like to it
Please i really need some help, anyone is welcomed :brow:
post here or my email it

Usually the virtue of a character writer is his ability to visualize and communicate the uniqueness of his characters to the reader. I find illustrations greatly detract from the impact of descriptive writing.
But aside from that, what do you need the pictures for? I mean, I can help if you want, I'm just wondering.

hmmm, im glad someone is willing to help.
Well the reason i need it is because usually when i write a story i like to get pictures of the main characters not only for me it helps my younger friends who read them to understand the character more. I usually get my nextdoor neighbor to do it but he is away and is gonna be away for quit some time(he never can stay out of trouble :D ) But since he's not here i want to know if someone could draw it for me(my stick figures don't even come out right)
Also the reason i said u could put your mind to it and i would only give breif details is because it is VERY hard to picture what i am thinking. I am also still the the brainstorming process so i don't have the story all done to your choices just make it better. I know what i want all the characters to be around but thats where i need the help, drawing.
hope that answered your question
if your up to it i could post a breif description of one of my characters

do you write for children?
hmmm, im glad someone is willing to help.

It sort of reminds me of... Balzac I think, who's said to have used puppets to remember better about the characters of his Comedie Humaine (I hope it's Balzac, I always make a mess with Frecnh writers' names, I especially mistake Balzac and Flaubert, but Flaubert is the one of Madame Bovary right? or is it the opposite?;))
Sorry 'bout straying, I know it doesn t helpt the matter... Btw, I absolutely can't draw so I won't help :)

@amuse: I don't make the books really adult but i don't think VERy young kids would understand them much. A couple of my friends have 10 or 11 year old brothers. They liked one of the stories i wrote so i let them read them. The pictures help them out a lot.

I gotcha. Post a description and let any lurking doodlers have at it. :) It would be interesting if you got a few different ideas back.

ok time to post the first and probably the most basic character i have ever seen.
*I just wanna say before u all look at this kinda weird is that i am making the dtails as basic as possible to make it ez for everyone. Also this book is gonna be in a set of three so all the unknown stuff will not stay that way  . Just a note.
Name: Unknown
Position: Tournament Committe
Body: This unknown character is of course the evil guy in the story(yaaa violence  ) For the first book he wears a black suit and black pants(style them as u want) he wears a tie( color and style again as u see fit). Also he has black shoes( again design as u see fit, lol  ) Also usually he has at least one hand in his pocket if not two. Nothing too special for his body, the only other thing i can think of is that he does not have too much of a build from looks, but u can tell he could hold his own in a fight.
Face: His face is probably the most important feature on him. He has strong neck muscles, one of the ways u can tell he holds a fight. His face always has an ominous look along with more of a sinister smile that just warns you hes evil. He has more of a pointy nose(put as u want, i don't care lol  ). His eyes pierce you, as they were looking and scanning your whole body(choose the color as u want, just nothing ridiculous like ti-dye l  )
Backround: Its probably gonna help u if i give some backround. The setting takes place on more of a tropical world(of course it doesn't stay like that). IT takes place in the future where new stuff is used. IT is not like starwars though. Sure it has the cool stuff like hovercrafts, magic, and thigs like that but it also has old things too. Like normal guns, swords, cars
Thats probably basic enough and those are just guidelines put it as u want. And u can forget about the color crap if you are sketching it but the details are still important.
Try if u want i would really appreciat it
thankx in advance

hehehe. Oh, okay. :D (It's "Him" from the Powerpuff Girls, btw.)
No probs. Instructions received and understood. ;)
[edit] I know, a very late edit. But I was also just reminded of Dr. Frank-n-furter, and Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs. So yes, everything has already been thought of. :D

How old is this guy, btw?

hmmm age, hes not young but not old........lets go with between 27 and 38
i dunno never really thought about it since they don't know much about him in the first book. Does 27-38 sound like not too young but not to old
lol hope that helped

youve somehow described an ex-best friend of mine. or maybe two of them. luckily they are both ex- and staying that way. i also like the idea that the face is the most important part of this character. id like to see a character who didnt have this.
if its a comedy/fantasy, draw them yourself, experimenting with different styles. it wont matter if theyre bad or very very basic, especially in a comedy. you would gain more satisfaction from it.
does he wear trousers? or just the underpants.
tommy.

 It took me a minute to get what you meant, tommy. I believe "pants" in this case does mean "trousers." ;)
[edit] btw, Slacken, I've got your guy (a bit more leering than ominous, but whatever) ... just in the shading-in stage. Pointulism takes time. I was planning to take the pic outside in the white light, but it appears to be raining. Grr...

Sorry!
