Oh, Muse! I am adrift upon the sea
Of this vast life, alone, lost and afraid,
And tossed by waves of deep uncertainty
By many choices that my mind has made;
In conflict, then, my mind drowns in cold fear,
My perspective is clouded as the sky,
And storms of indecision draw quite near-
To live in freedom, 'I' must surly die.
Memory holds the past, and that must end,
All known thoughts I must negate, deny-
I must see 'what is' only, not offend
The fact that life is life, nor question why;
This one will live each moment fresh, anew-
Until my mind and soul are one with you.
