comments?

ASBO-Hilda

Stuttering circle of seasons
in this city of monuments
where dog and man sh*t
meet for a chat and fag
around the potholes
of days gone by.

Monuments, commemorating
…what?
Stuck in eternal dusty summer
you sit out your existence
in an unlabelled bottle
worth ten cents in deposit
drained of the last drip of beer.
Where life still takes place in the streets.
Always.
Here.

No need for crushing waves
your sandcastles weren't even built.
And the only waves you ever saw
flushed a needle down your loo.

You don't rend the starry sky
with wailing screams,
you holler, drug-hysterical,
outbark your dog
every day from 4 p.m till three at night.

"Please, officer, I'd never dream
to lay a hand on her!
She's my mother-in-law!
The woman's mad.
See what you've done, b*tch,
your kid's crying coz of you."
Poor, poor crocodile,
hand him an onion.

"Officer please he beats me!"
"Don't you dare!"
"Don't touch me!
"No!"
