The Honorable Weapon
of wisdom and truth,
combined with the justice
at hand,
ready for battle and ready
for trial,
this sword-I stand,
Let the darkness loose,
come forth and understand
that good shall always conquor
with this sword of might,
reveal yourself and let us fight!
Sword of metal and of stregth,
protect us all from this evil prank
I say unto you that this sword
is not only the grace of God,
but is also the will of my heart.

yep, you were right. it is a nice one. I was thinking why I like the "path" one better. and I know now. everytime I watch TV, read a book, poem, listen to songs - words, I must find there something that is part of me... your path reminds me of the path I had to chose in december and way I was broken in January... this poem is more about belief and strenght in you... while I am at the present very weak, thus I cannot feel with this poem. do you see what I mean? well, I hope you do. usually I end up with endless sentences without explanation hehe
I appreciate this more than the others, cos I think the imagery of the sword and all that follows is a good one... but still there's something that disturbs me... Maybe it's really too optimistic for me ;)

I love this poem. I love the sense of strength and power that comes from wisdom and truth and justice. I love the fearless conviction that good will always win. I think that it's true..that good will always win despite any circumstances because being true to these three things, preserves the heart's integrity and spirit. So that even if it were in prison in chains..it would still be strong and shining still. I love 'Let the darkness loose, come forth and understand' - it has such bravery and valour. And the last lines are great...that the heart has willfully chosen the sword which is God's grace, and so is united with its strength - and is equally brave. It's uncompromising and in a world full of compromises, it shines.

Thank you! I am all about wisdom and truth, therefore
I will always express it. I love swords! I think the best
way to fight is with a sword at hand......for guns you see
are weak....they kill too quickly and show no skill.

Yay! I found it! The reason why I'm not your biggest fan...Too much wisdom! :) And in some cases it sounds a bit paternalistic in my opinion...(imperatives here and there). Oh well, it shows poetic skill anyway.
As for the sword, reading the War poem I was wondering if is there any of your stuff that doesn't contain the word 'sword' :D (It's not a critic, I just noticed you do use that a lot :))

Yeah. You got it right. Where's the skill in using a gun, where's the mystique? The connection between oneself and the weapon? Nowhere, that is.
Have you noticed? Today's professional killers are waay overpaid. ;)
