Hi

I did a brief search for a thread or post that may have answered this before and it didn't leap off the screen at me, so I am going to ask (and I apologize if this was addressed somewhere else):

I have over three thousand posts and I was bored and went back through to try to read them and there were only 500 that I could see.

Then I went to google and put Shalot in the search field and searched images, and found a pic of one of my old avatars and clicked on it, and it lead me to a post I put up in September of 2006. So I tried to quote that post and it wouldn't let me.

What happens to our old posts? Are we unable to access them or edit them?

Thats a very good question. I've also been mulling over this lately, esp only 500 posts thing......

You can quote or edit your old posts any time you want (but you cannot delete them). When you accessed to your post via google, were you still online on the Forum, Shalot? It is possible that on a new page, you were not logged in, which might be why you were not able to quote your own post.

You will be able to access all your posts if you do a search on the Forum as well (even though they are listed it among your recent 500 posts).

i tried logging in and got a message telling me that I did not have access and it said something about was I trying to edit someone else's posts. I didn't know if that meant the posts had been archived somehow - I guess I'll try again later.

Thanks
