As she sat on the tile, the cold, bitter ice she sat upon pierced her burning skin. There was a tiny puddle of salty water lying in front of her slouching body. Tears, huge in size, and fresh with salt, tumbled off her cheek, making a shallow splash in the puddle. With every tear the puddle grew large, but she didn’t attempt to stop crying, as she sat still on the bathroom floor.
Then a sudden ring of the school bells left the halls quite and left her alone in a frightening silence. The screeching sound of nothing rang in her ears and hurt her head. It only reminded her more and more about this loneliness placed upon her like an evil god tormenting her and loving every second of it.
She sat on the frozen bathroom floor for years crying and trying to think. Then she looked up and saw someone poke their head around the corner. She didn’t move, or stop crying. This pain in her heart was too strong. They must have seen her crying and left, because no one ever entered. But she wouldn’t have noticed if they had walked right in and sat down next to her.
Weeping uncontrollably she thought about the call that she had just received, but wish she hadn’t. She wanted to go to him. She wanted so bad just to go to the most important person in her life, and see him for the last time. But she couldn’t bring herself to her feet. They said they would be here for her when she needed them, so where are they? She questioned herself. More thoughts filled her mind and then she realized she was dying. Dying of a broken heart, a broken heart that couldn’t be fixed.
Her heart was shattering into small pieces, every piece tied to a memory of his love. Once each piece broke off, she lost that memory along with part of her heart. All the sweet memories of the love they shared was fading away.
She could perfectly picture his smiling face, feel his sweet kiss, hear his joyful laugh, and then she remembered the most beautiful eyes she had ever seen. The eyes that gave her that look, the one look she had never seen before. The look she hadn’t seen him give to anyone but her. She could picture every moment she had ever had with the boy, but then they would disappear and she couldn’t make them come back.
She had always been told the most painful thing in the world would be suffering till death. She knew now that it was true. She knew her heart was going to kill her. All her love was draining out of her heart. Her heart was bleeding to death. The wretchedness heartache irritated every part of her brittle body.
She was now shaking unimaginably and she was beside herself with grief. She couldn’t find any air in the room. Death had a hold of her by the neck and was strangling her. It didn’t want to kill her. Not until she wished death upon herself. She wanted so bad just to give up and admit defeat but she couldn’t give up on him. She had only one memory left of the love God had so graciously given to her, but had barbarically taken away.
Stars twinkling so beautifully in the night, the ice air stung her face. She could feel the jagged, shingles of the small shed pricking her back. She could see his beautiful face, and she felt preserved, in his tight grip, as his arms held her close. She prayed that he would never let go. Then she inclusively reminded herself that it was just a mere memory. The sweet memory of the best day of her life, the memory of the day she new that they shared the same love for each other and would love until the end of days. But she didn’t expect the end of days to come so soon.
Soon enough the memory of that day was gone and she could only see his face. Seeing the pink color in his cheeks, and the little blue he had in his green Milky Way eyes. She felt as if she were face to face, eye to eye, with her one and only. She could see every little wrinkle around his mouth as he smiled at her. She could hear his luscious voice say, I love you, just one more time.
Then She lost all contact to the real world. She was alone in a black pit, as she sat sobbing and watching the only thing worth living for. He was wearing away right in front of her, and she couldn’t do anything about it. It’s my fault! It’s my fault! She blamed his death on herself. She was dying, she new this, but she didn’t care because her life was now dead.
She stretched her hand out to gently embrace his love, but when she felt his skin, all the colors of his face were mixed together in a big swirl of color that symbolically turned to black. There was barley anything left of her heart, just enough to say one last thing before she faded away, like summer turning to a bitter cold winter.
“I Love You!” she breathlessly murmured the last sentence of her life.
