The flowers sway, in the gentle breeze,
The sun shines down, on the warm calm seas,
The birds sing their happy song,
Whilst the butterflies and bees play along.
The summer’s grass looks so green,
So nice a day I have not seen.
The sound of people having fun,
Laughter fills the air so numb,
This day this day should never end,
It should last forever, on this I depend.
Tomorrow is another day,
Happiness and joy will fade away,
The rain will fall, the wind will blow,
My feelings will change, from high to low.
Nothing will cure the way I feel,
Only today, it’s so unreal.
Once it’s over, memories will grow,
Of the person I love, lost, and then let go,
Why can’t I forget you? Why don’t I see?
You’ve left me now, you’ve set yourself free.
I’ve been told to forget, to leave you behind,
But it’s hard when you love someone this much, my heart you have signed.
The fire roars, the flames go mad,
This burning fire, this life so sad.
The thunder crashes, the lightning strikes,
The rain it falls, all through the night.
Morning comes, morning’s here,
Open my eyes with a sense of fear,
The clouds are grey, and fill they sky,
The birds, the wind and the people cry.
