Hello lit. wizards
Please, I want some help
I wish to translate a short story about related to feminism and women's writing ...
Do you have a title in mind?
Please I want a story that I can find in the net coz it is really difficult to get access to English literature in my country ..
Thanks a bunch in advance
What do you mean "translate"?
The only feminist writer that comes to my mind is Kate Chopin. I think she wrote a few short stories. I don't care much for her though, but that's a personal opinion. I'm not into feminist writers. Other people consider her to be good.

I have some suggestions for women's short stories, but I don't know if any of them are on the internet. One of the most famous feminist writers is Fay Weldon. You might have heard of 'The Life and Loves of a She Devil' which is one of her most famous novels. But she writes short stories too always with a feminist slant. Some titles are 'Polaris and Other Stories' 'Watching You, Watching Me' 'Angel and All Innocence' 'Nothing to wear and Nowhere to Hide'. I found lots of things about Fay Weldon on a site at 'http://books.fantasticfiction.co.uk' (hope I got that right, I'm not good at links) and though there were none of her stories to read, there were 'etexts' from other writers there that you might find useful.
Some other feminist writers of short stories are Virginia Woolfe, Angela Carter, Margeret Atwood (Dancing Girls and Other Stories) Patricia Hodge (Stories from Wicked Women) . Another book is 'A Bit of Singing and Dancing' by Susan Hill. Susan Hill's stories are easy to read and not too long, but I'm not sure they can be classed as 'feminist' though they are mostly characterisations of women and how they think.
The difficulty is finding the books on the internet, which doesnt' seem to be very easy - perhaps because the books are maybe still in copywrite

Kate Chopin would definitely be a good idea to look into if you want a short story about feminism. You can read the entirety of The Awakening at http://pd.sparknotes.com/lit/awakening
I actually enjoyed the book and I'm not big on feminist literature. It's usually too militaristic.

That book had one of the happiest endings I've ever read.

well i dont know that the awakening is considered as a short story.
Simone De Beauvoir also has several interesting writings about this issue.
