I awake and wonder
Has sleep taken you yet
Are you in mist of dreams
Holding them as long as possible
I want hear your voice
Telling me everything is alright
You need to rest
So I wait till dawn
Touching you
kisses on your chin
trying to stir you awake.
“One more hour, let me sleep”,
You mumble.



Apart

Sweet kisses and warm hugs
and you are gone for what time
it takes to do what duty requires
Tell the governor that you must
remain with me a while longer.
One more kiss, just one more
because then I will be alone.
No matter who else is with me,
without you, I am always alone.
Except for the part of you I keep
in my heart and in my soul.
A part that remains no matter
how far you are from me.


Remote

Where will you be
without your remote
to change your channels
wherever you go
whatever you do



Tonight

It’ll be a long night
Wondering
Are you sleeping
Are you ok
Are you missing me
It’ll be a long night
Tossing and turning
Getting your pillow
Just like your shoulder
Laying on your side
It’ll be a long night
Alone in our bed
No one to rub my head
No noise to let me know
That you’re here too.

Stormy, don't expect to much. I'm just playing and not really a poet. motherhubbard and Poppy are the poets of the family. Thank you for being so kind. And leave the last two lines on your Touch poem. It's just beautiful. We are not Ozark Ogres...well, I'm not anyway but I do have my doubts about motherhubbard!

No Way!!! Granny used to wring their necks. Now, we have supermarkets for that kind of thing. I don't even like to think about it.

it's so funky that you live on/near a farm(i'm guessing you do),i've always wanted a herd of mountain goat.but i live in a noisy crowded city and goats just remain a dream.

Aaah ,but i'm sure they're nicer than irriating,stupid people in the city who try and push you out of the train,randomly stamp on your feet and pinch your ***.(i live in a developing economy and the last week's been a drag).
Images of goats and mountains can be rather warm and fuzzy.
