Romanian literature anybody?

Hello. I'm new to this forum. I'm really curious on how romanian literature is regarded in the world. So, do you know any romanian writers?
There are some who claim to be really succesful in the west. I kinda doubt it.

Ah, you're from Austria. Did you see Cartarescu on libraries there? He got a major deal there, with an important publishing house.

I'm afraid I didn't. I have never especially occupied with romanian literature and therefore I have never looked for Cartarescu. But maybe I should do this some time. :)
