Poets must be silenced!
Their pens as broken as
Their hearts are chained up,
Their mouths muzzled
With the gag of the politically correct.
Moderate their tongue!
Make them stop
Writing the truth!
Isn’t it best to ignore
What is happening
Across the street?
Look at the poet!
Curled up in a corner
Of the cell where he belongs;
Hear the creaking sound of his voice
Screaming from the gravels
Which engrave freedom in the wall!
Does he think he can change the world with a word?!
Look at his insolent glance!
This revealing smile on his face!
And his deviant mind, opened
On intolerably unreachable lands!
Their pens as broken as
Their hearts are chained up,
Their mouths muzzled
With the gag of the politically correct.
Moderate their tongue!
Make them stop
Writing the truth!
Isn’t it best to ignore
What is happening
Across the street?
Look at the poet!
Curled up in a corner
Of the cell where he belongs;
Hear the creaking sound of his voice
Screaming from the gravels
Which engrave freedom in the wall!
Does he think he can change the world with a word?!
Look at his insolent glance!
This revealing smile on his face!
And his deviant mind, opened
On intolerably unreachable lands!
