Lovely first verse, especially the last line, and the rest follows nicely until the reference to those "others" in the last verse. There were no others to whom I might refer - neither Egyptians nor Latvians nor maverick ophthalmologists - so they were just a bunch of gate-crashers as far as I was concerned.
