hope it hasn't been done yet.
make a paperdoll (http://elouai.com/doll-makers/new-dollmaker.php#aligntop)
of an imaginary character, e.g. a character from a book, one you made up, what you'd like to look if you weren't so looks-challenged *joking* :P, your imaginary friend....
I'll start off with the brothers Mike and Luci

This was the very first one I did, and two other pages that have made up characters. Others had some as well back through the paper doll pages.

At times you may have to sacrifice hair color, as all you can change is face. Unless, you edit in a program like photoshop. I use Microsoft Image Composer. Then you can take clips and erase background and insert them in, like my Papayahed doll's Grover, Bert and Ernie. Or you can put in anything, you can save the doll, no background, and edit one in. You can paint hair. You make the nameplate hold the entire name. Lots of tricks.
