But I am a man and therefore I am a?

Why is that there is so much derogotary term for women than men?

And no doubt it is the men that created these terms. But I have also found that women are good at it too!

Men's derogotary terms were invented because of their inadequacies. But women's?

Well, Lote, my Mother used to call men like that "whorehoppers". But if you were a woman, I bet you'd have more respect for your body and self.

I think part of the issue why there are more terms for women than men is because it's less socially acceptable for women to be sexually active while men who are sexually active are thought to be viral and desirable...that's the real reason. It's a perfect example of a double standard.

well that was a reason in the middle ages for kings and aristocrats, which probably made up 2% of the population. So i would venture to say it's more than that.

yes, I agree, I said "behind" this double standard. There are certainly a million other reasons. and might I add, not one of the other reasons is as good as that one.

Yes, but the term slut is usually utilized against a female. Like the word biatch. How many male biatches do you know?

Besides, if a woman sleeps when let's say 80 men in a month, she's a slut. If a man sleeps with 80 women he's a champ, an idol.

It's still a man's world Baki and it's they that make the rules. But you don't have to follow it. Some women have taken Biatch - a derogotary term - and made them into a badge of honour. That's why you can buy Biatch jewellery in the Argos Catalogue!

Men may have the power of description over women's sexuality but you don't have to succumb to them...

I'm not so sure. There are many women who would be happy or even proud to be considered a slut, but what man on earth would be happy to be considered small? And the way women gossip, well, he wouldn't find it so easy to get laid anymore!

It's at once an insult and yet conjures images of 1950's curvaceous ladies in their spiked heels, low cut tops and figure hugging skirts, getting out their and grabbing their sexual freedom by the **lls. Somehow when I think 'slut' I see Marilyn Munroe, but in a good way, or Nigella Lawson, and her 'slut red raspberries in chardonnay jelly'. Yum, yum :p

I don't get a similar mental image with words like 'slapper'. I think that's significantly more nasty.
