Arianna pushes a dandelion on me-
I breeze by with some nodding amusement.
There are too many plodding clods to be
left prying plants from the mud:

How many bills have been paid?
When will there be enough time left to finish this?

Her hand presses a silver stream into mine and she says,
"Blow it away."
I step back and reach down.

Arianna smiles and reaches up--
"It's the wind, daddy."

"Yes it is, darling.
It's the Wind."

Orbits

I am spiraling out of this galaxy,
heading far beyond these orbits of identity.
Gravity has held me down too long--
there is no scientific law left to hold me down here.

These orbits of identity have thrown me down;
I am neither writer nor this thing that is written.
Beyond this Universe my soul sees still:
Quantam Physics for the Unintiated Prole
and more words fly by in this frantic search for self.

I hope nothing.
I fear nothing.

I am free.

Both good poems Demien, but this:

Arianna pushes a dandelion on me-
I breeze by with some nodding amusement.
There are too many plodding clods to be
left prying plants from the mud:

How many bills have been paid?
When will there be enough time left to finish this?

Her hand presses a silver stream into mine and she says,
"Blow it away."
I step back and reach down.

Arianna smiles and reaches up--
"It's the wind, daddy."

"Yes it is, darling.
It's the Wind."

Is pure beauty on the page. Brought a tear to my eye (and I'm at work!). I hope you don't mind me posting this on the 'favourite poems' thread (if so just pm me and I'll take it off), it belongs there.

What a sweet and beautiful spirit. Isn't it wonderful that children can bring us back? This poem would also be perfect for our 'and the word is' thread. We are currently writing about childhood.
So nice.

I enjoyed both poems, Demian, the innocence of Ruah was breath taking, and in Orbits, your last three lines were perfectly placed. Gotta love it! :)
