Here is a new poem of mine. It's about forgetting about fears and just experience what we wish to experience. I will welcome any kind of comments. :)
The Fall
There’s a ravine before my eyes
It might be dark, cause pain, or break my bones,
In the long fall that I’m about to undertake.
I have no idea of what is to be found at its bottom
Deep, deep below.
But I will throw myself into it anyway
Without a second thought.
I hear your unvoiced words
Your unspoken inner conflict
And your fear that I might hit a hard ground.
I read your anxious glance
And the lines of your hand
As you throw it forwards, rushing to grab my arm
Before
I fall.
But ─ it’s too late...
I jump.
I know, I know the risks
But the fall feels so delicious on my skin
As the bitter air polishes it,
Erasing all the thorns to leave only
My naked desire.
I fall, I fall, and the ground is nearing me
Closer
Closer ─
I fall, and I wait for my shell to burst open
And liberate the tiny wings,
Translucid as they wait to be filled with the lively colors
Of passion.
What if?
What if I killed myself? you ask;
But, I reply
What if the ground was indeed a soft mattress?
Then ─ I would fall on the bed of your heart
And...
If I am to crash
I will have lived those long seconds fully
At least
At last ─

Wow hands down the best poem I have read on these forums, it was so liberating a read. I especially loved the stanza:
I know, I know the risks
But the fall feels so delicious on my skin
As the bitter air polishes it,
Erasing all the thorns to leave only
My naked desire.
Words so easily woven to describe such lucid liberation of spirit, a remarkable read. I really cannot put my feelings of such a poem into words.

The Fall
There’s a ravine before my eyes
It might be dark, cause pain, or break my bones,
In the long fall that I’m about to undertake.
The world is both a harsher place
than you or I know
and a more hospitable one...
I have no idea of what is to be found at its bottom
Deep, deep below.
But I will throw myself into it anyway
Without a second thought.
I have known you to hesitate
while I held my breath in patience
because I owed you all the patience at my command!
I hear your unvoiced words
Your unspoken inner conflict
And your fear that I might hit a hard ground.
I read your anxious glance
And the lines of your hand
As you throw it forwards, rushing to grab my arm
Before
I fall.
But ─ it’s too late...
I jump.
And if I were there?
If only I were there
beneath you...
I know, I know the risks
But the fall feels so delicious on my skin
As the bitter air polishes it,
Erasing all the thorns to leave only
My naked desire.
May I say
those words you cherish?
I fall, I fall, and the ground is nearing me
Closer
Closer ─
I fall, and I wait for my shell to burst open
And liberate the tiny wings,
Translucid as they wait to be filled with the lively colors
Of passion.
Passion? Yes,
and from me a tenderness
that is every bit as strong!
What if?
What if I killed myself? you ask;
But, I reply
What if the ground was indeed a soft mattress?
Then ─ I would fall on the bed of your heart
And...
If I am to crash
I will have lived those long seconds fully
At least
At last ─
You know, I hope, that an eternity with you
would feel like a mere ten seconds to me
and that every ten seconds we spend together
is ten seconds long
and immeasurably deep.

First,
Thank you VERY MUCH, Rabid Reader! You have no idea of how much your words mean to me! That is so encouraging! Please accept those three dancing bananas that I offer you:
Your response have brought joy to my heart! :D
Now, Sweet Prince,
Your response is wonderful too!!!
I feel that if I fell, you would always be there to catch me, yes? I know your hand would never be far from mine. I know you have this power to keep me safe. Now, how I love this:
You know, I hope, that an eternity with you
would feel like a mere ten seconds to me
and that every ten seconds we spend together
is ten seconds long
and immeasurably deep.
How beautiful it is, Jerry!!!

"No, but on the other hand it might be just three inches wider than you estimated before you jumped!"
