The case in which my body wishes to prop open,
setting free that dreaded corpse upon me.
Wailing through the empty of my mind,
spreading snakes across the grove.
Hissing and snapping and sliding throughout me,
whispering tales of mischievous things into my ears until they bleed black mucus.
And when I reach to cover them, I find that my fingers have turned into blood thirsty worms,
I watch them argue with each other, and feel their bitter frustration.
A light appears and the snakes disappear,
all that I am left with are these rambling worms,
but now I see that they have gone too.
Left me alone in this disease infested grove.
My tongue has been swallowed,
and casket will not close.
However hard I may try,
it still remains open.
Leaving my eyes exposed to an endless darkness,
that goes beneath the ground itself.
As if the casket was a never-ending black hole.
Its arms grab for me,
and with the little might I have left,
I pull away.
My eyes have stopped dawdling,
and I notice a creature is among me.
The corpse perhaps,
but it is uncertain to me.
I have sinking feeling inside,
and it turns my stomach round and round.
My eyes are growing weary from staring about,
but I am too afraid to blink.
I am simply waiting,
waiting for it to come out of the shadows.
And either scare me white,
or ease my anxiety.
Oh how this irritates me so.
What happens next you will never know...
setting free that dreaded corpse upon me.
