Holes by Louis Sachar

Another teen book. Story of Stanley Yelnats (please pay attention to the name) who is found guilty for a crime he hasn't committed and sent to a juvenile correction camp, Camp Green Lake. However, Camp Green Lake is nothing like its name; it is in the middle of a desert and boys are asked to dig holes day after day. Stanley gets to meet many interesting characters while at the camp; finds about himself and life in general.

A well paced story and Sachar's writing style is never boring.

A good coming to age story with an unusual twist: 8/10 KitKats!

I loved this book! It made me laugh so hard! And the sequel Small Steps was almost as good as the first.

(Agree with Scherz: 8)

i had to read this years ago at school and at first it didnt seem that mature and a bit slow paced but it soon picks up and everything suddenly fits into place, i particually enjoyed the last few chapters of the book.
