.

Doubt not
that the universe hears your plea.
Love fills the void between here and there
between heaven and earth
between you and me....

Love is a current of desire
that pulls us to the sea,
you only need to enter the water
and give yourself up to the waves
to feel its power.

Love is measured by
the depth of your belief.
Love is the shimmering thread
that joins your heart
with your soul.

Reach out.
Love is there.
Experience love.
Feel love.
Be love.

"Reach out" is your mantra, I think, whether to some anonymous lover, or an injunction to your own brave soul!

Thanks.

Seek and find. If you don't reach out, you can't grasp anything! Good poem!

Cdn, you are so right.

Love is measured by
the depth of your belief.
Love is the shimmering thread
that joins your heart
with your soul.

Love is the shimmering thread that
joins two lovers also. It keep then
connected no matter how far apart
they are. This I know from experience.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful poem.

Excellent poem!

I love the powerful ending, and the fact that it begins with 'doubt not' and ends with 'reach out', it is strong and gives confidence. First, confidence in the mind with the 'doubt not', and finally, confidence in the body, with the 'reach out', which, to me, conveys the idea of a movement towards something (or someone). And I love the image of the sea.

 Great poem!

Please look at the extremely brief poem by Stephen Crane. Yep, that Stephen Crane, the one who wrote The Red Badge of Courage.
It was before 1923, so I probably can quote it with impunity:

A man said to the Universe,
"Sir, I exist!"
And the Universe replied,
"I know, but that does not create in me
A sense of obligation."

Hey, Sweets! Thanks for the dancing bananas! I'm glad you like my poem. :D

Hi, AuntShecky. Yes, I'm familiar with that poem. Powerful one, isn't it? Thanks for posting it here. It's a great reminder of our true place in the big scheme of things. :)
