It is as if the great hardware-maker
in the sky produced us so that
we would perfectly interface with each other,
your every jack has a home
in my every port.

I wish I could tell you that I
have never loved like this before
because I haven’t, but
I already said that to M. and P.
and R. and others, because
I don’t do okay love very well.

When I think of any one
of my children or grand-children
I give them all my love.

Half love is for the birds,
for fine dark chocolate, my country,
great poetry, but Sophie,
Sophie, Sophie, Sophie,
Sophie, Sophie, Sophie,
Sophie, Sophie, Sophie,
Sophie...

You continue to turn out poetry with a sense of sorrow, but this ends with a longing that reminds one of a wolf howling for his mate on a rock above a canyon...

My Prince,
I, too, have loved
Before loving you
But each love has its own Colors,
Promises and Hopes

Each love you had before
I knocked on your door
Has taught you something
And made you become
The one you are today,
My Prince.

I sing your name, Jerry,
In each of my words
For my words have been colored
In the sweet pale shade
Of the poetry you have impregnated them with.

Your laugh echoes mine
As we speak our language,
Private language made of letters
That made love together
To reveal the indescribable hope of
The dreams we dared not have
― Before ―

~~~
My Jerry, Jerry, Jerry...
May I ask you
To share some chocolate with me?
My Jerry, Jerry, Jerry...
May I ask you
To share some chocolate with me?
“Chocolate,” some will assume,
is a euphemism of sorts
for some sort of private naughtiness
we cyber-wink at each other.
And chocolate, it is known
releases in the mind
the same endorphins
as love.
“In 2007, a UK study
suggested that eating dark chocolate
was more rewarding than passionate kissing.
More research is needed to
replicate this result.”
Let’s volunteer
in the name of science!
But no, I won’t share
my chocolate with you.
I want you to have it all.
The woman of whom I write
is almost further from me in age
than she is in geography.
So how can this joy
be without sorrow?
Sorrow is the bones
that support this body
of love. Sorrow
is the bloodied stones
that lie beside the road
on my way to her.
Sorrow is the certain knowledge
that while I may love her
more than I can say, I should
discourage her from loving me.
That is one of the sweetest things you ever told me.
I will still share the chocolate with you though
Because it would not taste the same
If I ate it alone
So, let's take some chocolate bars
And keep them next to our nest
For those mornings when we wake up
In each other's arms...
You will hand me a bar,
Which we'll savour together
As the sun rises before us
On a new day which we will begin
With tasting our love for each other
There is something about you...
Actually, there are many things about you
but I won't tell because,
the truth is
I haven't finished
noticing them, and I damn well
haven't figured them out.
But hey! you know
I care for you
more than I want to say here.
My Prince,
There are so many things in your soul
That my hands haven’t reached yet
I sense that some of those things
Might resemble some of the things
That you have not yet discovered in
Your Princess
Accept those parts of my heart
That I gently lay into yours
And let me take some more
From you
Let me share the joy
As well as the pain
Let me write with you
Our unwritten poems
Ah, my love, my junior heart,
having just barely removed
the training wheels
from your bicycle of love,
you’re ready to enter
the Grand Prix!
The thing is,
sweetness, tenderness
you are the Grand Prix!
One can easily decide
To enter the Grand Prix
When the Grand Prix
Is what one
Has always been waiting for,
Waiting to be old enough to participate
Now the big question is:
Will the Prince enter the Grand Prix?
The Prince, obviously,
Is old enough!
:D
A ‘vielle salaude’, yes
But only with You,
Because you are the one
Who inspires me
All the teasing.
Partner, I have two other words
To tell you right now,
But I will keep them silent
Though I know you would love them.
Ah, those two words!
Knowing your sweet and tender nature,
your chastity of body and soul,
they must be Port Salut!
which indeed I love. But wait!
Might they be Vive l'amour?
or Hang Ten!?
I give up! So, hopefully,
you'll them to me again
and again!
I might have two words to tell you
But right now I will ask you to search
What is the missing word in your last poem...
Ehehehe. Ok, let me help you, Darling:
The problem is located in this stanza:
I give up! So, hopefully,
you'll them to me again
and again!
I'm sure you can find it. :D
