To Mono, Wherever You Are

Gone from us chasing the sand and the sea,
Dancing his heart away, sliding down the moon beams;
Mono has wandered away and we wonder where he could be?
Lost somewhere in a world of his personal dreams?
We miss his voice here among us on the LitNet,
A companion and friend who always found time to be kind.
It is certain his legacy is something we will not forget,
That will not be blown away by the shifting Winds of Time.
I take time from my day to compose a small tribute poem,
To one who proved himself a friend in so many ways.
To love our Mono was simply to know him,
The man behind the painting atvar was worthy of praise.
I don't know where you are for I am not a psychic you know:
But I hope you get this message: Happy Birthday, Mono!

Of course, of course, after someone (ahem, Logos) gave me a little push to this thread, I cannot fathom ignoring old friends, nor may I refuse to return the kindness you have sent me by simply saying 'hello.' I have certainly not forgotten all of you, and I feel comforted knowing that you have not forgotten me. Thank you all.
As to the birthday, my wish came true - to have an uneventful and relaxing anniversary of my birth. Having worked diligently the past year in my blooming career, continued writing (currently on (I)another(/I) play), and still found time to spend with friends and family, what I desire most, perhaps like any stereotypically aging man, seems quiet, leisure time. Certainly, I have once again found that here - peace.
Thank you all again Logos, Pensive, Pendragon (what an impressive poem!), papayahed, Scheherazade, andave ya (nice to meet you), and Virgil. You all made my birthday even more worth celebrating.
