Unique Birthday Song

Outside of my home the soft wind is blowing down from above,
I live in a valley surrounded by mountains, forests, and streams.
The sigh of the night Zephyr as it passes my window is that of a dove,
A gentle voice bidding me goodnight, calling me into my world of dreams.
Far up on the mountain, deep into the forest, in a place people seldom go,
My spirit guide waits in a clearing, a fully grown Cougar, strong and sleek.
Many would tell you they are extinct here in my mountains but what do they know?
I have the pictures of her tracks and her scat taken only this week.
And I guess you are wondering what all of this has to do with the fact that today,
Is the day of your birth, Annamariah. The People were wise and did nothing by mistake.
From the time of our ancestors word has been handed down from those passed away;
That someone would come who would be worthy the name of that Night Zephyr to take:
And so it falls to me to make announcement on your Birthday for now and for all seasons:
We have a name we shall call the Night Zephyr: and the name is: Annamariah…
