9. “Everyone in the play either suspects or is himself suspected”

Hi,

Generally, I am a fantastic English student, but lately I have somewhat headed into a writer's block of some sort. What I need help is a few sample introductions to an essay of the above topic. In my case, I do agree because Lady Macbeth obviously is guilty of indirectly helping Macbeth to commit regicide. Macbeth is directly guilty of killing the King. Since I am yet to complete the entire play, (my teacher hasn't finished it yet) I direly need some help on this topic. I only have two arguments, and the minimum is three...is there another person that I have so stupidly missed?

So: essay structure:

Intro: Agree/Macbeth/Lady Macbeth/Another Person

P1 - Macbeth

P2 - Lady Macbeth

P3 - Person X

Conclusion: Summary of above topics.

Well, I believe that Malcolm can be Person X - he suspects the guards and later on Macbeth, of killing Duncan, and he suspects Macduff might be loyal to Macbeth (Act 4 Scene 3). He (and his brother) is also suspected by Macduff to have paid Duncan's guards to murder Duncan.

I'm a little confused though - are you supposed to complete the essay based on the entire play then?

Regarding the introductions, I'm not sure how to begin such an essay myself, so I don't have any suggestions, sorry! But I hope that I helped you a little to figure the third argument out.
