Hockey Chick Philosophy on Her Birthday

I did not let you birthday pass me from unkindness on my part,
I always wait for some else to start the threads for someone I haven't met.
I must admit I just now found the place where your thread starts,
So now we can sing of birthday things, where you might go or what you may get...

In the end we often find that those mean more to us than we know.
The gifts are precious, the cake delicious, but the memory is what will stay,
