I wish
I could open your heart
and find soft white feathers inside.

I wish
I could walk with you along a river of innocence
and lift your spirit across the water.

I wish
I could stride across the rainbow
and lose your pain amongst the shining colours.

very heartfelt and lovely, and you've used rainbows so it was sold to me from the outset!

Thanks ever so much, Bii and Firefangled. I greatly appreciate your comments. This poem is a follow-up to the dark vision of "Burnt"..... Both were written as a reaction to the recent difficulties of a good friend of mine.
