the last paltry squeeze
of ketchup when you're confronted
with a mound of the most perfect french fries;

the dent in the topmost scoop
of your sundae
after you've just eaten
the maraschino cherry;

the lingering aroma
in the line in front of you
after someone has had
a really bad attack of flatulence!

Life is...
the way many a poem begins,
or some bit of advice
from your most boring aunt
or uncle, and that
is pretty well guaranteed to continue
with platitudinous,
sententious bombast.

Life is...

And she, I suppose, stands there, speechless, wondering which of my blankey-blank smart-[deleted] daughters has done that to me this time?[/I]

(I know, this may be the first time in history that "speechless" and "Granny5" have appeared in the same sentence! Relish the moment!

true :)

You know that it's not true. I was speechless in your kitchen the other night.
(and I've always been the shy type)

Life Is...

Life is a long, skeletal pathway
That meanders through shadow upon shadow
Of perceived possibilities,
Reflections of things that may have been—
A façade of false personas
Erected to safeguard the bona fide self—
A introduction and a conclusion,
With eternity in between…

a wondrous light i hold in my hands
and wonder what gives it its gleam

wonderful is its wonders and grand is its grandeur
beautifully it poses its beauty

till death brings in its deadly blows....

LOL about your poem, Prince. It makes me laugh because I am addicted to Mc Donalds. Yes, that's a shame, but I can't help it. I don't know what special ingredient they put in it, but that makes me crave it.

Now about life... I sometimes said that 'life is a party...where Ive not been invited', but that sounds depressing. Maybe life is a matter of making your own party where you invite the people you love, instead of going to a shallow party where you don't know anyone but where you still go just to be seen witrh 'cool' people? I prefer being in a room with several loved ones than with a thousand strangers. There is something horrible in being surrounded by people and feeling terribly alone.

See how I'm getting off topic again? Please bring me a Mc Do meal so that I will fill my mouth with it and stop talking off topic.

It's a carefully guarded secret, but there is a special ingredient that MacDonald's adds to all its hamburgers and fries and that ingredient is

Ah, I understand better then. Thanks for telling me the secret. But where do they find all this love?? There must be a second secret in here.
Well, next time I go to McDo, I'll order a McLove.
