Birthday Dream For Piper

I had a dream that you were flying over the mountains doing a barrel roll,
In an ancient bi-plane, a Vintage one, perfect shape, you know!
You had on a brown leather bomber jacket, helmet, and goggles to foil,
The air from the slipstream, from blinding you as you go.
You were right at the top of an upside down arch wind blowing your hair,
When from behind a nearby peak a red Fokker triplane came into view—
It was of course The Bloody Red Baron, infamous as vulture in the air
And with his guns all primed and ready The Baron dived out of the sun at you.
Then to my amazement as well as to yours, there was a smile on that stern old face,
And when he let go with a salvo it was fireworks, not bullets, which lit the whole sky.
And he tipped both his wings and his hat and let got a ribbon pulled behind his plane
And in the light of the fireworks and bright sunshine, I read, but I cannot say why:
“Tis a most auspicious day, an even I could not let it pass, without a word to say:
May you always flight strait, and each day be CAVU. Fräulein Happy Birthday
