I am in search of a title and/or author for a poem that I heard a few months back and I can't seem to get anywhere in my search for it. I don't really remember any of the lines from it but the message was very powerful. The poem is written in the first person by a person who lives in a society in which they are limited to a certain number of words a day (157 I believe, which I also believe the title was "157 words" but can't seem to pull anything up). He talks about how he's very careful with his words so that he only uses 154 in order to talk to his love at the end of the day on the phone and be able to tell her "I love you". He apologizes for the silence at the other end of the phone after saying it but that he knows she knows its because he doesn't have any words left. I know this is very vague but if there is any help at all, I would really and greatly appreciate it. :bawling:

The Quiet World by Jeffrey McDaniel

In an effort to get people to look into each other's eyes more,
the government has decided to allot each person
exactly one hundred and sixty-seven words, per day.

When the phone rings, I put it to my ear without saying hello.
In the restaurant I point at chicken noodle soup.
I am adjusting well to the new way.

Late at night, I call my long distance lover and proudly say
I only used fifty-nine today. I saved the rest for you.

When she doesn't respond, I know she's used up all her words
so I slowly whisper I love you, thirty-two and a third times.
After that, we just sit on the line and listen to each other breathe.
