As I've been having excessive trouble with an essay question regarding the two works stated in the Topic title, I thought it would be to my benefit to make a change. Taking a more thorough look at The Metamorphosis, it suddenly hit me that there is a great element of human pathos used for Gregor, and to put the icing on the cake Suskind too used an overwhelming amount of human pathos in Grenouille. I'm excited that I found this out, even though I'm completely blind as it stuck out like a sore thumb, and I'm interested in seeing if anyone has any comments on the use of pathos in either one of the works.
