I thought this might be a fun idea. I love food, and I enjoy nothing more than cooking lavish dinners once in a while or even just basic home cooking. I'm curious what everyone else is cooking or eating, because well... I just am, I guess. Who knows, maybe I'll get some new dinner ideas. For my family we had lasagna with green beans and french bread tonight. How about everyone else?

Since I am in Shanghai and have been recently introduced to their ciusine (I loved Chinese cuisine even before but the variety of dishes I've found here is amazing) I will list some of the great dishes I've tasted so far:
- fried rice with shrimps and vegetables
- drunken chicken - marinated in rice wine
- small dumplings with meaty interior (can be shrimps, pork, beef or just vegetables)
- they have these sweet potatoes that look like carrots in size but are delicious
Chopsticks rule here so I really need to get practising. :)

Only Mother knows. But my guess is rice. :) Ah the joys of having a mother who doesn't ask you to help with dinner! :p
I don't know, 'cos my house-husband cooks dinner (except at weekends when I am let loose!). I believe I may be having jacket potato tonight, which is nice because we don't have it very often. Last night we had liver casserole which was very yummy, with carrots, bacon and shallots in a red wine sauce, and mashed potato. Not to everyone's liking, I guess, but I liked it.

I have some beef marinating in balsamic and olive oil right now, not sure what I'll do with it yet, but it's darn tropically HOT and HUMID here so might just make grilled steak salad cuz I'm hot and lazy today

My mother is making pizzas tonight. We never order pizza, homemade is always the best! And probably more healthy

I never really know until later in the day. Usually whatever looks good at the farmers mkt. Last night it was organic tenderloin topped with stilton, bbq'd med rare, sauteed baby summer squash and mushrooms, and a small spinach salad. MMMmmmmmmm:)

That sounds really great. Maybe I'll go see what is at my farmer's market today. I know we're having steak, but I haven't decided what else yet. Sauteed wild mushrooms with wine and butter sound like a nice steak topper, or it even sounds good to put in a baked potatoe. Hmmmm, now I think I'm off to the market:)

Tonight we're having po' man food (poor man food for those that don't catch the slang :p). Actually it is just late and no one feels like cooking but everyone is hungry.
Ground beef with macaroni (kind of like homemade hamburger helper) with green beans on the side.
Actually mkhockenberry, I like this idea. I've been thinking a lot about the food I will be cooking when I get my place and have to cook for myself...and the fiancee! Hmm I will take a peek here every so often.

Don't ya dig farmers markets? Fresh, local meat and produce. I especially like the stuf that I've never seen before.

I made a really nice dinner of angel hair pasta (with sesame oil and a spurt of soya sauce to prevent sticking) topped with a stir-fry of broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, white onions, and four cloves of garlic. It was very good, I have to say.... though I kind of 'pigged out' as they say, and felt really full for the better part of this evening..... :alien:

I actually didn't eat dinner tonight (that's probably why I'm hungry right now). I went strait from baby sitting to the grand opening of a friend's photography studio (where I had crackers and cheese and a fruit smoothie).

Tonight we are having spagetti with white clam sauce, seared sirloin steaks and salad. It is my hubby's birthday, so it is our version of surf and turf

They're my favorite. I wish ours was a daily thing, but I'll still take it only being on Thurdays. That is better than nothing.

I just had ribs, a rice-corn-snap peas-and carrot mix, salad with cranberries and candied walnuts and finished with icecream for dessert.
